founded Vision Agency for International Development (VisionAID) in 2024 to bridge the gap between local and global communities.

Dr. Mohammed Hussein Ahmed, a distinguished academic and visionary leader from the Kurdistan Region, founded VisionAID in 2024 to address critical local and global challenges through education, justice, and sustainable development. With a Ph.D. in Forensic Linguistics and decades of experience in higher education governance, international relations, and quality assurance, Dr. Mohammed has dedicated his career to fostering innovation, collaboration, and societal progress. His global experiences, including academic roles in the US and UK and his position on the advisory board for Times Higher Education Arab University Rankings, have shaped VisionAID’s mission to empower individuals, promote justice, and drive sustainable development in Iraq, Kurdistan, and beyond.
